"BULOK nga ba ang SISTE"

Is democracy destroying our country because our people are very undisciplined? This is a question from Mr. Francis Kong blogsite. As the latest poll shows 70% agreed, 20% disagree while 1% says they don't care. Well a lot of us were complaining by how the system in our government goes. The opposition want to take the position while the person who's in the position wanted to remain seated forever. If we are going to take a look at this in a big picture, all the blames were thrown to the government, while the demonstrators are marching their way on the street, growling for a CHANGE in our government for what they believe is that "Bulok ang Sistema". Honestly speaking, there are lot of things that our govenrment needs to work on but here's a situation that brings to a piece of realization. "Bulok nga ba ang sistema?". I went to NSO office last week to file an application for birth certificate and CENOMAR (Certificate of Non Marriage) which was ask as a favor by my shift manager to me. Since I'm just P10.00 away from NSO office in Trece Martirez City I accepted the favor. When I arrived there I was shocked by the number of people falling in line who arrived there as early as 4:00am to process their application too. So I have no choice but to go to the end of the line. Thousands of us endures the heat of the sun just to get the NSO authenticated copy of birth certificate, CENOMAR, and others. on the line I've noticed an old woman talking to another woman at my back. She was pleading that if she could get into the line, The woman whom she's talking on the line refuses to give way but as the line moves forward she immediately cut into the line without any doubt and anticipation. My temper immediately arised for what I saw. I was very eager to confront her but I decided to hold back and control my temper for it will not make any sense. Going back to the poll question. Is democracy destroying our country because our people are very undisciplined? I say YES. I'm not clearing myself out but lets face it. Para sa "simpleng Instruction" sabi nga ni Manong Guard eh hindi pa tayo sumunod.

Remember that a simple mistake can create or may results into a bigger problem. "Kung tayo na maliliit na tao ay hindi sumusunod sa simpleng patakaran pano pa kaya yung mga matataas at may kapangyarihan. It's a domino effect, whatever you do it will reflect to our society. No matter how many times we move our feet to mendiola, liwasang bonifacio, EDSA and scream our lungs out for CHANGE, if we do not observed discipline we will never get there to what we are yearning. The most effective way to reach our demand is in our hand not on the streets. Do your part as a citizen then the rest of our dreams will follow.

"el espíritu de nuestra libertad"

Most of us now a days know that June 12 is a holiday, No work with pay for others, double pay for those who chooses to work on this day, but on this day happens the most important day in the entire Philippine history. It is today we commemorate the 111th day that we gained our freedom. It is we're General Emilio Aguinaldo raised our flag in "Kawit" which is formerly known as "El Viejo" in the province of Cavite in 1898. At around 4:00 and 5:00 in the afternoon with the public reading of the Act of the Declaration of Independence, Filipino revolutionary forces under General Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the sovereignty and independence of the Philippine Islands from the colonial rule of Spain, which had been recently defeated at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War. Now that we're in the modern age of civilization where in the lives of many Filipinos have changed because of the modern day technology which is almost everything can be done with just one click of the button. May we not forget those brave Filipino warriors that had lived before us and fight for the freedom that we are enjoying right here and right now. Let their spirit lived on, and let their bravery be told in each every heart of our countrymen. Let them live through generation after generation.

"Rh negative"

Everyday at the end of our shift, me and my shift manager (Ms. Jean Parreño) used to have a small conversation on our way home. We discuss whatever topic that comes out in our mind, life experiences, update about her upcoming wedding, work matters, funny moments, families etc. until one time we found ourselves talking about blood type, that time she told me that her blood type was Rh negative (-O). I was confused of this thing for I have never heard about this kind of blood type in my entire existence. upon hearing about this matter, I become eager to find out more about it, so I made some sort of researched and these what I found out. Basically there are four general categories of blood: A, B, AB and O. Each blood type is further labeled as positive or negative which is a reference to the Rhesus factor of the blood. Rh negative are blood group whose red cells lack of the Rh factor (Rh antigen). Only 7% of the population has Rh negative blood. Here in the Philippines, approximately 1% of the population has Rh negative. Our Philippine National Red Cross established the National Registry of Rh negative and other rare blood types to gather all individuals with rare blood types in our country. Their aim is to make Rh negative blood ready and efficiently available. People who has this type of blood are potential universal red blood cells donors. This means that their red blood cells can be transfused to patients with all types of blood but they cannot recieved other blood types. A woman with Rh negative needs special care during pregnancy if her partner is Rh postive. If you're Rh negative and your baby is Rh positive, your body may produce Rh antibodies to fight the baby's blood. The antibodies are generally harmless during the first pregnancy. However, if you have a subsequent pregnancy with an Rh positive baby, your Rh antibodies may attack the baby's red blood cells. The subsequent Rh positive baby may develop Rh disease, a life-threatening condition that could require a blood transfusion through the umbilical cord during pregnancy or immediately after delivery. Ms. Jean was already aware of all the risk by having this traits. I was surprised with the way she viewed her self being significant to others. She takes care of herself not just for her own sake but for those who are in need of her blood (not referring to vampires or The Cold Ones), she cares for those inviduals whose suffering from major illnesses that will need her blood to undergo blood transfusion. Upon hearing her stories and her views about her being different from others, It made realized that she's really one of a kind person in a small way but means alot to others. She is a regular blood donor of Philippine National Red cross. She doesn't mind going far and get stucked into traffic just to be there and donate blood. Very admiring and inspiring right and with that I salute her. Kudos Ms. Jean!
